Stats
Strength
As a caster, a hammerdin only needs enough strength to wear good gear.
A well-geared hammerdin should be able to get all of its strength from its gear. A paladin starts with 25 and between Torch, Anni, and Treks, it should have at least 55 strength (Enough for Mageplate Enigma) with the lowest stats and up to 80 strength (Enough for DS Enigma) with the highest stats. If other gear that you wear also bumps that number to at least 103 strength, you could use Archon Enigma.
Dexterity
Dexterity is where you will dump quite a few points for the sake of maxing your block percentage at 75%.
Vitality
Once you have max block (75%), all remaining points go into vitality.
Energy
No... just no.
Skills
The main skill is Blessed Hammer. Max it first.
The main aura is Concentration. Max it second.
Vigor is both a utility aura and a synergy to Blessed Hammer. Max it third.
Blessed Aim is a synergy to Blessed Hammer. Max it fourth.
Holy Shield allows you to block more for less dexterity. All remaining points here.
